A frictionless ball slides down a curved ramp — change the shape and watch the speed change.
What you can control
- slider: inclination (deg)
- slider: curvature
- button: start
- button: pause
- button: reset
How this simulation works
Use the Inclination slider to tilt the ramp (in degrees above horizontal), and the Curvature slider to change its shape — from a straight incline to a deeply curved chute. Press Start to release a ball from the top, Pause to freeze it mid-track, and Reset to send it back to the start. The ramp is frictionless, so the ball's speed at any point depends only on how far it has dropped — a direct consequence of conservation of mechanical energy.
